A confraternity of the Order of Preachers, not a private devotion invented at will: members are enrolled by name in a register kept by the Order, and the confraternity has long been encouraged by the Popes as a school of Marian prayer. The traditional undertaking is to pray the full traditional cycle of the mysteries in the course of each week; it is an undertaking of love, and, as the Order has always taught, it does not bind under sin.

Ask a Dominican house or a parish affiliated with the Order to enrol you; enrolment is free and is recorded in the confraternity register. Then keep the undertaking: pray the mysteries of the Rosary through the week — one set of five each day covers it easily — meditating on each mystery rather than only counting the beads. Members are encouraged to pray for the other members, living and dead, and for the intentions of the whole confraternity, and to keep the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary on 7 October.
