Saint Gregory of Nazianzus (c. 329-390), one of the Cappadocian Fathers and archbishop of Constantinople, defended the divinity of the Holy Spirit and the full doctrine of the Trinity. His Five Theological Orations earned him the title 'the Theologian.' Declared a Doctor of the Church by Pope Pius V in 1568.
