Christmas (December 25) is the second-greatest solemnity of the liturgical year after Easter. It opens the Christmas Octave and the Christmas Season, which continues until the Baptism of the Lord. Four Masses are provided: the Vigil Mass, the Mass during the Night, the Mass at Dawn, and the Mass during the Day.
