Christmas (December 25) is the second-greatest solemnity of the liturgical year after Easter. It opens the Christmas Octave and the Christmas Season, which continues until the Baptism of the Lord. Three Masses are traditionally celebrated: at the Vigil, at Midnight (Mass during the Night), at Dawn, and during the Day.
