Apparitions of Our Lady of Laus
A reported Marian apparition
From 1664 the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared over many years to the young shepherdess Benoîte Rencurel at Le Laus, calling sinners to conversion and reconciliation and asking that a church be built. Le Laus became known as a place of healing and confession.

After a long and careful examination, the apparitions were officially recognized by the Diocese of Gap with the approval of the Holy See in 2008. The Shrine of Our Lady of Laus is a centre of the sacrament of Reconciliation.
