Eucharistic
Sanctus (Holy, Holy, Holy)
Hymn of the Church · Latin text
The acclamation sung at the close of the Preface of the Mass, joining the voices of the Church to those of the angels. Its first part is drawn from Isaiah 6:3 and its second from Matthew 21:9. The English given here is the traditional hand-missal translation; the wording used at Mass today is the current approved liturgical translation.
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts. Heaven and earth are full of Thy glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
