Saint André Bessette (1845-1937), a humble Holy Cross brother and doorkeeper in Montreal, became renowned for his devotion to Saint Joseph and the countless healings attributed to his intercession. He inspired the building of Saint Joseph's Oratory and was canonized in 2010.
