biography
Saint Anselm of Canterbury (1033-1109), Doctor of the Church, was a Benedictine monk and Archbishop of Canterbury who is called the Father of Scholasticism. He sought 'faith seeking understanding' and is famous for the ontological argument for God's existence and for Cur Deus Homo, on the meaning of the Incarnation and redemption.
