Biography
Clare of Montefalco, also known as Saint Clare of the Cross, was born in the year of 1268 and died August 18, 1308. She was an Augustinian nun, abbess, and formerly a member of the Third Order of St. Francis. Pope Leo XIII canonized her on December 8, 1881.
