Saint Frances of Rome (1384-1440), a Roman wife and mother of deep prayer, devoted herself to the poor and the sick during years of war and plague, founding a community of Benedictine oblates. Granted the grace of seeing her guardian angel, she is a patron of motorists and a model of holiness in married and family life.
