biography
Saint Genevieve (c. 420-512) consecrated herself to God as a young girl and became the spiritual patroness of Paris. By her prayers and counsel she is credited with sparing the city from Attila and the Huns in 451 and with organizing relief during a later siege. Her tireless charity and influence with kings made her one of the great figures of early Gaul.
