Saint Hilary of Poitiers (c. 310-367), Bishop and Doctor of the Church, was the great Western champion of the divinity of Christ against the Arians, for which he was exiled. Called the 'Hammer of the Arians,' his work On the Trinity gave the Latin Church a sure defense of the Nicene faith.
