Saint Homobonus (died 1197) was a married merchant of Cremona who conducted his trade with scrupulous honesty and devoted his profits to the poor, dying at Mass with his arms outstretched in the form of a cross. Canonized within two years, he is the patron of merchants and businesspeople.
