biography
Saint Isidore of Seville (c. 560-636), Archbishop and Doctor of the Church, was the last of the great Latin Fathers. His Etymologies gathered the learning of the ancient world into an encyclopedia used for a thousand years. He strengthened the Church in Visigothic Spain and is invoked as a patron of students and, in our day, of the Internet.
