Saint Juan Diego (1474-1548) was the humble Aztec convert to whom the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared at Tepeyac in 1531 as Our Lady of Guadalupe, leaving her image on his tilma. Canonized in 2002, he is honored as a model of humility and faith.
