Saint Teresa of Calcutta (Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, 1910-1997) was an Albanian-Indian Catholic nun who founded the Missionaries of Charity in 1950. The order serves 'the poorest of the poor' in over 130 countries. Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. Beatified by Pope John Paul II in 2003 and canonized by Pope Francis in 2016.
