Saint Norbert (c. 1080-1134), after a worldly youth and sudden conversion, founded the Premonstratensian Canons (Norbertines) and became Archbishop of Magdeburg, promoting reform of the clergy and devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. He was canonized in 1582.
