biography
Saint Scholastica (c. 480-543) was the twin sister of Saint Benedict of Nursia and is regarded as the first Benedictine nun. Saint Gregory the Great recounts that at their last meeting she obtained by prayer a storm that kept Benedict with her, and she died three days later.
