Saint Teresa of Jesus (1515-1582), Discalced Carmelite reformer, mystic, and author of The Interior Castle and the Autobiography. With St. John of the Cross she renewed the Carmelite Order. Declared the first woman Doctor of the Church by Pope Paul VI in 1970.
