biography
Saint Timothy (first century) was a disciple and beloved companion of Saint Paul, who called him his 'true child in the faith.' Paul addressed two of his epistles to him, and Timothy served as the first bishop of Ephesus, where tradition holds he was martyred for opposing pagan festivities. He is celebrated with Saint Titus.
